KIPPLE - Art Commerical!!

During my 2018 residency in St. Georgen, Germany, I was asked to make a short film for the Kipple project, which is a summer marketing camp for college students. The students were asked to consider marketing strategies and campaigns for a portable lamp and moveable work-space. I shot one roll of Kahl 18 color reversal Super 8mm for the project, which had some very nice rhythmic light leaks flashing throughout the film. Afterwards, I made an edit of the movie and asked musicians friends to help provide a soundtrack.

Two musicians provided me with excellent tracks! The first is by Celeste Heule, who is also the driving force behind the Minneapolis' Battlerat.

The second version is by Steph Horak of London, who delved into her prolific archive of tracks and to find one that fit the mood. Steph has a new tape out on the Fractal Meat label.
